How long will it take to digitize my videos?
Turnaround time is usually 15-21 days for videos.
What do you do with my original photos and videos?
We highly recommend keeping the originals. CCS can return your originals in a safe secure legacy box once videos and photos are digitized.
Can I have extra copies?
If copies are needed we can accommodate you. We keep all videos and photos for up to 60 days.
Can I put my photos and videos in the cloud?
We can also make a private secure cloud base account for your photos and videos.
WHICH MEDIA STORAGE DO YOU PREFER?
You will receive a flash drive and we can upload your files to your chosen cloud storage platform, whether Google Drive, DropBox, or Smugmug.
Flash Drives and External Hard Drives can hold all of your digitized files. Easily duplicate, transfer, and watch your media on your smart TV or computer. You can use apps like The Projector App, SmugMug, and Vimeo to watch, stream, and cast on any device.
How Can I Ship My Media to Your Facility?
Prepping and Shipping
Choose a sturdy box: It's important to choose a sturdy box that can support the weight of the photos and tapes, as well as any packing materials. Use a new box if possible, and make sure it's the appropriate size for your items.
Use packing materials: To protect your fragile items during shipping, use packing materials such as bubble wrap, foam, or packing peanuts. Wrap each item individually and use enough packing materials to prevent any movement inside the box.
Label the box: Clearly label the box with your name and address as the recipient and the sender's information, including your name and return address. This will ensure that the package can be returned to you if there are any issues during shipping.
Choose a reliable shipping carrier: Choose a reliable shipping carrier such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS, and consider purchasing insurance and tracking for the package. This will provide additional protection and peace of mind during shipping.
Ship during cooler weather: If possible, try to ship your items during cooler weather to prevent heat damage to the tapes and photos. Avoid shipping during extreme weather conditions, such as during heatwaves or freezing temperatures.
Notify CCS: Once the package has been shipped, notify CCS that it's on its way and provide CCS with the tracking information. This will allow us to keep an eye out for the package and ensure it's delivered safely.
